Position Details : Strong leadership, work ethic, and effective communication skills are essential for success in this role. The ideal candidate will support provide project management, administrative, and training support for the Terex Sustainability Management Team. The candidate will manage regulatory deadlines, provide technical guidance, and coordinate with sites on all onsite or written agency contact. The candidate will have dual responsibilities supporting both Terex Environmental Compliance as well as Terex Environmental Sustainability. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Environmental Sustainability Manage and review data collection for CO2e (Scope 1, 2, and 3), compile recuring reports, work with sustainability committees, and provide guidance and training on environmental sustainability topics. Project Management Lead or assist in sustainability projects, including coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to implement initiatives. Stakeholder Engagement Communicate with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., internal team, vendors) to promote sustainability efforts and raise awareness. Collection & Analysis Gather and analyze environmental data (e.g., energy consumption, waste generation, water usage) to assess the organization’s sustainability performance. Sustainability Reporting Maintain environmental metrics, including carbon footprint analysis, energy use, waste reduction, and other sustainability KPIs. Contribute or oversee verification of submitted data. Environmental Compliance – Manage the total company environmental compliance calendar, perform regulatory monitoring, and manage deadlines associated with Environmental compliance reporting (Air, Water, Waste). Act as an advisor on environmental regulations and reporting requirements for the countries where Terex operates. Regulatory Compliance Monitoring Ensure that the organization’s operations comply with environmental laws, regulations, and industry standards, including air, water, waste, and hazardous materials management. Environmental Audits Conduct environmental audits and inspections of company operations, facilities, and practices to identify potential compliance gaps and environmental risks. Permit Management Oversee the application, renewal, and management of environmental permits, ensuring timely submission and compliance with relevant regulations. Policy and Procedure Development Develop, implement, and update environmental policies and procedures to align with regulatory requirements and company sustainability goals. Reporting & Documentation Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, including audit reports, regulatory filings, and correspondence with regulatory agencies. Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies. Environmental Impact Assessments Conduct assessments to understand the environmental impact of operations and recommend improvements. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field from accredited college/university preferred 3 years’ experience in environmental compliance and/or environmental sustainability Other combinations of experience and education will be considered. Experience working with cross-functional teams regionally or globally across multiple functions Excellent communication skills, written and spoken across cultures, time zones, and styles Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: In-depth understanding of environmental compliance and sustainability best practices globally. Proven track record of successful project management and deployment to deliver results. Advanced data analytics capabilities. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making and process improvement. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners at all levels of the organization.
