What is the opportunity?
You will be joining RBC BlueBay's Operational Risk Team to support the business in mitigating operational risks and assist the Operational Risk function in reporting and maintenance of RBC BlueBay's risk and control framework.
What will you do?
1. Assist with the coordination of incident mitigation, chair incident meetings, and take responsibility for ensuring appropriate and clear documentation of incidents and associated actions in the Operational Risk System.
2. Perform periodic risk assessments on business processes and define key controls to mitigate the risks identified.
3. Ensure appropriate risk mitigation measures and risk indicators are in place for risks identified and monitored.
4. Assist in advising of new controls and procedures across the business.
5. Assist with the delivery of excellent and clear risk reports related to operational and technology risk matters to various RBC BlueBay boards and the Operating Committee.
6. Maintenance of the operational risk system.
7. Ensure actions raised on the back of incidents, internal/external audit and any other risk reviews across the group are tracked and completed.
8. Assist in key operational risk activities including Business Continuity management.
9. Perform control design and effectiveness testing.
10. Work closely with Project Management Office to provide oversight on risk initiatives and due diligence.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
1. Solid experience working in Financial Services or Consulting in Financial Services sectors and be able to demonstrate operational risk experience in Asset Management or Investment Banking sectors.
2. Able to demonstrate excellent communication and report-writing skills.
3. Experience of working with senior stakeholders (C-level, department heads, and senior managers).
4. Strong attention to detail.
5. Comfortable with MS Office at an advanced level.
Nice-to-have
1. Experience using a Governance Risk and Control System.
