We are recruiting for a Procurement Project Manager to work for APUC as part of an expansion of services, where the post holder would work in a variety of different roles across our organisation and our member institutions for variable periods of time. If working within institutions, then the role would cover a variety of categories and spend areas and a broad range of professional procurement activities in line with institutional and statutory needs. If working within the core Collaborative Contracting team, then the role would include managing Framework Agreements and supplier relationship management on behalf of the sector.
The post holder will be an ambassador for APUC, its member institutions, and the procurement profession generally, demonstrating the highest levels of professionalism and ethical behaviour. APUC is an organisation that continues to develop to meet the dynamic needs of its client institutions. Therefore, an experienced procurement/supply chain professional with a strong work ethic is sought for this role, with the ability and desire to develop further as opportunities and challenges present themselves.
Prospective candidates should have experience of working within a similar role and have relevant tendering experience with appropriate knowledge of EU and Scottish public procurement regulations. Of particular importance are excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, and the ability to work on their own initiative.
