Job summary
We are looking to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant tojoin our Financial Management team
The role will encompass a high degree of the following disciplines:
Financial Management financial analysis, reporting and monthlyreconciliation of income and expenditure.
Assist Management Accountant in resolving queries, financialreports, financial returns and other adhoc duties.

Experience of using computer systems such as Oracle Financials.
Experience in using Microsoft packages.
Essential:
AAT part-qualified or equivalent, or actively studying towardsfull AAT qualification, or with significant role experience
Good Interpersonal and Communication skills especially workingwell with non-finance colleagues.
Good analytical skills an eye for detail and accuracyespecially using excel spreadsheet and other systems.
Good Time Management skills working to tight deadlines.
Main duties of the job
As an assistantmanagement accountant you will provide necessary support to the financialmanagement team to ensure the provision of high quality financial advice aswell as business support to divisions. Part of the role will be to use acomputerised ledger system and Microsoft office packages, this is to provideanalysis to department managers and budget holders.
The role isbased at Sunderland Royal hospital with hybrid home working arrangements inplace and the working hours are Monday to Friday. You will work within awell-established team including other assistant management accountants toensure deadlines are met and a high level of service is delivered. Flexibleworking is supported.

Qualifications
Essential
1. AAT part-qualified or equivalent, or actively studying towards full AAT qualification, or with significant role experience.
Skills and knowledge
Essential
2. Numerate and IT aware, with good keyboard skills
3. Able to undertake initial investigation and resolution of expenditure variances within area of responsibility
4. Able to analyse and manipulate large volumes of complex data into meaningful information and produce summaries for review by the Management Accountant
5. Able to plan own work to ensure monthly, quarterly and annual deadlines are met
6. Ability to work accurately to tight deadlines
7. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with finance and non-finance staff.
Desirable
8. Knowledge of the NHS financial regime and relevant legislation and guidance.
