What does a Send Finance Support officer do at Hillingdon?
This is a varied role in our Finance Team, with the opportunity to be involved with: Operational Service Delivery • delivery support to SEND Education Health Care Plans financial packages using the SEND case management system (EHM).• resolving SEND financial queries (including payment enquiries) and ensure appropriate financial controls are in• Responsibility for delivering, routine, and emergency tasks against the SEND service standards to ensure consistency in maintaining service • Deliver a skilled and flexible support service across SEND, and to react to peaks and troughs of work.• To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team responsible for meeting tight deadlines and committed to high standards of customer• Maintain an understanding of the SEND operational workflow processes and linkage with other systems.• Prioritise tasks assigned to the team• Escalate any risks and issues to the Team Lead and/or Line Manager.• Ability to learn complex and specialised administrative processes and systems to meet changing service requirements including changes to legislation that impacts SEND.• To provide more general support to service areas if the need• Ensure compliance with Financial Regulations with respect to budget commitments and payments and report any breaches. • Support internal budget commitment authorisation processes to ensure effective delivery of supplier• Demonstrate cost-consciousness and identify any cost-effective changes to own way of • Ensure all purchasing and procurement is conducted in line with the corporate guidelines with appropriate use of the Council’s financial
About you
As a Special Educational Needs (SEND) and Disability Finance Admin Officer you will be expected to collaborate closely with our SEND Team and other stakeholders to support financial health of our organisation. You will be expected to liaise closely with the SEND Team ensuring accurate financial packages are uploaded on to the inhouse data base, maintaining up to date records, and dealing with funding enquires. Full inhouse training will be given for the right candidate.
