Day-to-Day Tasks
This varied Marketing Assistant role is engaging and challenging; tasks include:
Supporting the email marketing supervisor in planning, delivering, and sending email campaigns, including writing briefs and proofreading copy deputising for them in their absence
Assisting with email setup, data management, KPI reporting, and A/B split testing while also setting up and testing voucher codes
Managing website banners triggered by emails and communicating promotions to the wider business
Gathering new customer data through surveys and providing administrative support for the marketing team
Approving daily affiliate commissions and completing awards applications
Drafting and assisting with newsletters, including the monthly internal newsletter and blog posts in line with the marketing plan
Ordering marketing materials such as leaflets, business cards, and competition prizes

The Marketing Assistant will report directly to the Email Marketing Supervisor and will support the day-to-day operations for the email channel and the wider marketing team; this involves content and copywriting skills, as well as the ability to follow methodical technical processes.
This role is hybrid and to be based on site at our Crewe address until full training is received.

Essential Skills
Excellent communication skills - Ability to write and edit copy or content with strong attention to detail in spelling, punctuation, and grammar
Multi-tasker who can adapt to changing priorities and learn & understand new technical processes quickly
A problem-solving/solution-oriented nature.
Positive and professional attitude with the ability to take ownership of tasks and use initiative
Must be able to use Microsoft Excel to at least a basic level.
Ideally comfortable with using large amounts of data and spotting trends.
Desirable Skills
Relevant degree in Marketing, English, or Business advantageous but not essential
Basic HTML knowledge would be useful, although not essential
