Project Procurement Director (12 Month FTC) Location: Chester Project: 12 month FTC Job Type: Full-time, site-based About the Company: Our client has completed over 200 contracting projects on an international basis and are one of the leading contracting companies, delivering a wide range of services to a broad spectrum of customers worldwide. Position Overview: Our client is seeking an experienced Project Procurement Director to join their team for their current project located in Chester for a 12 month period. The ideal candidate will be responsible for strategic and operational procurement activities, ensuring efficient and cost-effective procurement processes. Key Responsibilities: Manage end-to-end procurement, including tendering, sourcing, and supplier / contract management Identify and implement measures to reduce the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) Analyse supplier offers and select the most appropriate purchasing goals Conduct negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable bids Confirm and manage letters of agreement and orders within designated limits Coordinate logistics for shipping, customs, and insurance operations Collaborate closely with the Head Office Procurement department Monitor supply market trends, risks, and opportunities Oversee warehouse activities, including consumables, goods receipt, and transfers Qualifications: MCIPS qualification Experience working with Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields Experience with ERP software, preferably SAP Strong document drafting and analysis skills Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities Proven experience in stakeholder and supplier management Experience managing procurement budgets of £35m How to Apply: If you are interested in finding out more about this exciting role & project, and you feel that you have the relevant experience to lead this 12 month FTC - please contact Adam Norris at Reed or apply now.
