We are recruiting a Youth Worker to work with young people with a range of needs supporting them to achieve positive outcomes through delivery of universal services such as youth clubs and school holiday programmes.
Key activities:
* Contribute to the development of new initiatives that enable young people to participate, and discover their skills, gifts and talents and support them in making plans for their future
* Flexibility to work in various locations and build local relationships and partnerships in the communities we work in.
* Develop and maintain positive working relationships with a range of groups including statutory, voluntary sector organisations and internal teams
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Experience of working with young people in a variety of settings and demonstrable understanding of the issues facing young people.
* Excellent understanding of confidentiality and professional boundaries
* Knowledge and understanding of child safeguarding practical application
This role is 10.5 hours per week, working Monday-Friday from mid-afternoon until early evening. This role is community based delivering services in a range of both community and formal settings. There will be evening and occasional weekend working as part of this role.
