The Digital Programme at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking for Project Support Officers to join our team delivering projects underpinning Trust strategic objectives.
The Trust is a leader in providing digital tools to help staff improve quality and experience of care and we are currently recruiting enthusiastic Project Support Officers at Band 4. Full training will be provided. While administration experience would be useful, no previous experience of Project Management is required.

The OUH Global Digital Exemplar Programme will take the trust from being one of the most digitally advanced trusts in the UK to one of the most digitally advanced trusts in the world over the next two years. The trust will be an exemplar to other trusts and assist in their journey to digitally enable the best clinical models for patient safety and outcomes while freeing staff time to care.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Suitable candidates will be able to evidence relevant experience and achievement in delivering tangible outcomes. Excellent organisation and communication skills will be an asset.
Candidates for this role need to be able to travel to all four sites within the OUH Trust, be proactive and flexible with your approach to all tasks, be able to produce clear concise records of actions and record all decisions made at meetings with experience of minute-taking, supporting the Senior Programme Manager and Project Managers within the department.
Person specification
Communication and Relationship
* Good communicator both written and oral. Capable of working with OUH front line staff.
* Providing and receiving complex information, where developed persuasive, training, empathic and re-assurance skills are required because there are barriers to understanding.
* Calm temperament with ability to motivate peers and junior staff, deal with conflict, influence and manage hostile resistance to change in a professional manner and in line with Trust Values.
* Able to be diplomatic with peers in all staff groups, small and large including those where issues are controversial and that inevitably result in verbal and written challenges.
* Awareness of other healthcare professionals: their roles, and preferred working methods in OUH Services.
* Knowledge of Programme Office duties, Change and Configuration Control, and general knowledge of aspects of solutions and related end to end system workflows.
* Evidence of living Trust Values and demonstrating relevant Behaviours.
* Knowledge of practical delivery of Front Line End User Adoption Support.
Training and Experience
* Minimum of 3 A levels Grade C or above or equivalent work experience, or NVQ’s.
* Prior experience working in the NHS and a general understanding of patient pathways.
* Evidence of having been responsible for administration or supporting adoption of aspects of electronic solutions and related end to end system workflows on a project which successfully delivered anticipated benefits.
* General knowledge of system Test, Delivery, and Adoption, particularly in projects involving electronic systems in a healthcare organisation which successfully delivered anticipated benefits.
* General theoretical knowledge and expertise in supporting adoption of electronic solutions and related end to end system workflows.
* Excellent attention to detail eg in preparing and reviewing complex spreadsheets accurately.
* Numerate with good literacy skills and the ability to produce formal reports.
* Advanced skills in the main Microsoft Office Software: Outlook, Word, Power-point, Excel, Visio, Project.
* Internal applicants must evidence completion of Mandatory Training.
Analytical Skills
* Methodical approach to organisation and delivery of tasks, good attention to detail to produce a range of formal and informal documents and reports.
* Ability to provide informed opinion on aspects of solutions and related end to end system workflows.
* Ability to analyse, appraise, interpret and compare a range of facts, situations and options.
* An awareness of the importance of confidentiality including experience of dealing with commercially sensitive information.
* Evidence of having adhered to professional Technical or Applications Change Management & Configuration Control in Projects under conflicting pressures and demanding circumstances.

* Proven ability to inform and support peers outside the EPR Team to ensure adoption of aspects of solutions and related end to end system workflows.
