Your new role
In your new role you will be operating a variety of machinery, such as box-pan folders, guillotines, break presses and more. In addition to this, you will also become very familiar with working to high measurement tolerances using the above equipment as well as hand-held tools. The products will be used in the food/drinks, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, so in-house training will be provided to get your skill-set up to scratch.
The role is-days based Monday to Friday (8:30am - 4pm) and offers plenty of overtime should it be requested.
What you'll need to succeed
Although it would be advantageous, it is NOT required for you to have formal qualifications or sheet metal experience. However, it is essential you possess the following:
- Experience using power tools working with metal or wood.
- Competency using measurement equipment to high tolerances
- Experience within a trades or manufacturing role (e.g., joinery, sheet metal working...)
- A reliable and 'can-do' attitude whilst working under pressure
