Peer Support Worker, North Tyneside Safe Haven Enhancements paid for evenings, weekends and bank holidays Part-time 18.5 hours per week Hours Monday to Sunday between 2pm- 10pm We have a fantastic opportunity for a Peer Support Worker to join our amazing service which is due to launch in July. You will empower people in their recovery journeys by harnessing the assets and strengths within individuals and their community. You will also demonstrate the value of the service through positively promoting the role and the collection and collation of data in line with reporting requirements. About the role Support the community, including people with lived experience of mental health conditions to increase resilience through activities, shaping services, and enabling involvement Support individuals and communities to identify and engage in activities of their choosing to further mental health needs and develop healthy lifestyles. Provide support by working with a range of service users to identify different needs to improve accessibility to services. Provide support by actively reaching out to those people who need more intense support and link them with other support services as needed. Undertake any reasonable duties/responsibilities to meet the needs of the organisation.
