We are looking for a Yard Stores Controller to join the UK’s leading ground engineering and geotechnical contractor. What you'll be doing
* Oversee asset maintenance and overhaul, ensuring availability of stock, overseeing pricing and efficient stock control.
* Ensure assets are managed in line with maintenance schedule and budget.
* Provide information to allow effective cost modelling for all assets and asset processes, including basic statistical analysis.
* Develop and maintain awareness of latest industry Health, Safety and Environmental Standards.
* Ensure that all data, reports, and documentation are provided as mandated by procedures.
* Raise purchase orders correctly and sufficiently.
* Liaise with plant supply companies regarding the supply and adequacy of plant, if required.
Who we're looking for
Qualifications:
* Valid CSCS (essential)
* Valid SMSTS (desirable)
Skills and Knowledge:
* Tenacity and enthusiasm with an enjoyment that comes from working within a busy and sometimes demanding environment.
* Build and maintain collaborative cross-functional working relationships.
* Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security, and quality.
* Minimum of 5 years proven experience within the construction industry (desirable)
* Previous success within a similar store management role, preferably within a fast-paced construction/engineering environment (desirable)
* Awareness of budget management (desirable)
* Organised and responsive.
* Competent with Microsoft Office packages.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
Other Requirements:
* Eligible to work and live in the UK.
* Flexibility to travel in the UK.
* A full driving licence that is valid in the UK.
What you’ll get in return

* Hours of work are 42.5 per week, Monday to Friday.
* Hours of work are 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, with paid breaks; however, flexibility is required.
