Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hours per week)

As our Support Worker, you’ll be at the heart of supporting our customers who have complex needs to develop their skills to live more independently in the community. You’ll make a big difference each day as you help our customers achieve their hopes and aspirations.
Typical day as our Support Worker
* Assisting customers with practical, daily living tasks to develop their independence, helping them to achieve the goals, aspirations and outcomes documented in their support plans.
* Working with adult females who have experienced or are at risk of experiencing homelessness or rough sleeping.
* Helping customers with daily living activities such as making meals, shopping, budgeting, maintaining their tenancy and moving onto independent accommodation if they are able.
* Carrying out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting and regular reviews.
* Engaging in meaningful conversations and building relationships with customers.

You bring
* Passion to support our customers to live their best life, working together with an eye for detail.
* Experience of caring for others, which may include professional care roles or personal experience caring for family members or children.
* The ability to work on your own initiative, remain calm under pressure and have a resilient approach.
* Recognizing that every customer is different and adopting a flexible, personal approach to understand their needs.

You’ll join Fintan, Tracy, Sonia and our Cedar House team. We’re super passionate about what we do! We’re really proud of our track record in providing housing and support to the most vulnerable members of our community. We’re a supportive group and ensure that we are all valued, backed up, and respected.
You will also be supported by our unique Clinical Team. Our Mental Health Practice leads and Occupational Therapists help us create a psychologically informed environment aimed at supporting our customers better and looking after our own wellbeing too.
Job details
* Flexibility is key; we may need to adapt your start or finishing times occasionally to meet the needs of our customers.
* Working on a rota with the earliest start of 7am and the latest finish of 8.30pm, with plenty of days off in between to recharge.
* Able to use technology for creating and updating support plans, completing online learning, and collaborating with colleagues.
* You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done, and we pay for that.
