As part of on-going expansion and growth, Kaboodle, a leading kitchen appliance installation company, are looking to recruit a Regional Manager to oversee our new Crawley depot.
Initially advertise, interview, recruit and train White goods/Kitchen appliance installers and a warehouse person to build a small team during the lead up to depot opening.
JOB SUMMARY
As Regional Manager you will be responsible for the recruitment, management and ongoing development of all members of the installation team and a warehouse person based at the new Crawley depot. You will work closely with the wider management team with a view to supporting our installation workforce and ensuring their working day runs as smoothly as possible. You will support the senior leadership team by ensuring that the right level of installer resource is available at the right time as per budgeted expectations throughout the year. You will be responsible for handling performance related issues within the installation team, as well as championing reward and recognition for high performing installers. The role will require you to maintain a professional relationship with installers at all times providing firm but supportive direction. Your hands on approach and strong relationships with the installation workforce will help to foster a positive culture and provide valuable insight to the senior leadership team.
KEY OBJECTIVES
1. Ensure that all planned installations go ahead each day without issue.
2. Maintain the correct levels of installation resource in line with seasonality and forecasted output, whilst remaining within budget for direct staff wages.
3. Drive continuous improvement across all KPI’s set by Operations Director.
4. Enforce all company policy and procedure across entire installation workforce.
5. Develop and maintain a positive work culture throughout the team.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Ensure that all planned installations go ahead each day without issue.
1. Managing sickness contingencies on a day-to-day basis.
2. Leading and managing the content of the installer WhatsApp group as a positive means of communication.
3. Create regular weekly team's lists based on available resource and make available for scheduling team.
4. Manage agency driver resource as and when required.
5. Primary point of contact for all Crawley Installation Supervisors, Installers and Trainees.
Maintain the correct levels of installation resource in line with seasonality and forecasted output, whilst remaining within budget for direct staff wages.
1. Full selection and recruitment responsibility for members of the installation team with support of the HR department.
2. Update monthly pay tracker with holidays, day rates, additions, deductions, new starters and leavers.
3. Maintaining communication with payroll department on any necessary changes as and when required.
Drive continuous improvement across all KPI’s set by Operations Director.
1. Identifying training requirements and ensuring the necessary training is taking place.
2. Carry out ride along audits a minimum of 2 days per month covering all installation workforce in rotation.
3. Start work in the yard at 06:00 2 days per week to carry out team meetings, toolbox talks, face to face catch ups as required.
4. Manage customer care allegations with the installer, based on feedback from customer care manager and monthly performance KPI’s.
5. Monitor monthly performance KPI’s and work to actively improve trends through performance management.
6. Attend and actively contribute to weekly managers meetings.
Enforce all company policy and procedure across entire installation workforce.
1. Enforce all company policy & compliance relating to the installation team. Maintain high standards of appearance through enforcing our uniform policy and vehicle cleanliness.
2. Create and manage annual on-call rota for installation supervisors.
3. Carry out regular vehicle checks on rotation, covering ALL vehicles a minimum of once a month.
4. Carry out all HR duties including but not limited to, investigation meetings, disciplinary hearings, return to work meetings, new employee on-boarding and induction, Breathe updates, holiday requests.
Develop and maintain a positive work culture throughout the team.
1. Carry out regular 1-1’s bi-annually across ALL Crawley installation employees.
2. Support the marketing department with positive stories and updates from the installation team to be used on our LinkedIn and Workplace social media platforms.
3. Develop and maintain a positive team culture through regular communication, meetings, social events and feedback forums.
You will be required to Schedule the work for your teams, your additional duties will include:
1. Schedule the work in an efficient manner.
2. Assign installers, drivers and vehicles to routes and trunks.
3. Any other duties that are appropriate to the role.
