The role involves the delivery and assessment of Essential Skill and equivalent qualifications including Literacy, Numeracy, Digital Literacy and Digital Skills for Business (levels 2 - 3), alongside supporting learners working towards Apprenticeship programmes whose initial assessment results may range from Entry level 3 to L3.
You will work collaboratively across the Trust to communicate learner progress and ensure timely completion of Essential Skills Qualifications.
This role fits within the Workforce Education & Development Team reporting to the Digital Learning Manager.
Welsh Ambulance Services NHS University Trust is committed to promoting the Welsh language for both staff and learners, and whilst it is not considered essential criteria, the ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role.
Organise and deliver training, assessments, workshops with centre based/virtual activities to enable learners to achieve regulated qualifications.
Plan and deliver effective learning, teaching and assessment by using a range of methods to effectively enhance the learning process.
Support Essential Skills Delivery Across Apprenticeship Programmes.
Use results of diagnostic assessments to plan learner support and delivery.
Meet delivery, marking and submission targets for Essential Skills Qualifications, as agreed with Digital Learning Manager/Head of Workforce Education and Development.
Assess, support and develop learners’ Literacy, Numeracy, Digital Literacy and Digital Skills for Business through delivery of qualifications and enrichment activities.
Provide peer support to fellow assessors on delivery of Essential Skills and assessments.
Enable learners to share responsibility for their own learning/assessment and empower them to set challenging goals and targets to evaluate their own progress.
Provide feedback to the learners through OneNote to ensure meaningful reviews take place.
Communicate regularly and professionally with apprenticeship line managers to maintain good relationships and engagement in the learning process. Develop links with operational managers to encourage enrolment on essential skills programmes as appropriate.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
