As our Head of Insights and Human Factors your role will be to lead these capabilities in line with CDP’s overall company strategy and be responsible for the capability’s strategic direction and development. This role reports to the Head of Capabilities, and you will work closely with our Sales and Operations teams to ensure that the Insights and HF team has the appropriate levels of expertise and available resource to support business needs through internal team development, service development, resource management, and external recruitment. Your role will be a mix of capability leadership; business development (helping to grow client accounts and attract new business through thought leadership, keynote speaking and attending conferences); and technical project delivery (working with our multidisciplinary teams at a senior level in project or technical leadership, as a subject matter expert, and a technical reviewer). As a senior member of the business, you will embed, maintain, and support our company culture and values. About You You’ll be degree educated and have gained extensive experience working in a consultancy or client-side in an insights and/or HF leadership role. You will have an impressive track record of guiding user-centred and evidence-based product innovation across both Consumer and Healthcare sectors and will be able to demonstrate: Experience of leading, developing and managing teams; including mentoring and coaching. Experience in scoping and managing user insight and HF programmes for medical and pharmaceutical companies ensuring project quality, budget, and planning Extensive experience in designing, moderating, and reporting on various types of user research, from early-stage insights to summative/validation usability studies, including translating research findings into actionable recommendations Experience in collaborating with clinical, regulatory, risk, design and product development in medical and/or pharmaceutical companies to deliver user research and HF programmes Commercial acumen and relevant experience to support business development activities including client sales meetings, reviewing, costing and writing proposals Experience in translating insights and HF activities into requirements, design recommendations and usability engineering documentation in line with FDA, MDR and EU requirements Deep expertise in HF regulatory requirements for medical devices, drug delivery, and diagnostics and be recognised as a subject matter expert in building HF files and related documentation Excellent presentation and communication skills in order to present your ideas to and influence senior clients and internal stakeholders in a compelling way A willingness to travel to undertake research and attend global conferences for up to a week at a time.
