We are looking for a dedicated and motivated nurse to join our newly integrated Sexual Health and HIV service. This is a developmental role, offering the opportunity to gain the necessary training, experience, and qualifications to progress to a Band 6 Nurse Specialist.
As part of our dynamic team, you will work across both Sexual Health and HIV services, receiving full support and training to develop specialist skills in this field. Main duties of the job
A key focus of this role will be to work towards autonomous reviewing of patients in a clinic or outreach setting, conducting assessments to plan and deliver treatments for HIV, contraceptive and/or sexual health needs in line with national guidance.
There will be active involvement in audits both locally and nationally and participation in training/education sessions for patients and staff members.
You will be supported to complete training and national competencies, including NHIVNA, STIF, contraceptives letter of competence and Non-medical Prescribing (NMP).
