JOB TITLE: HVAC Mechanical Manager / Supervisor (Days)
LOCATIONS: Pier Walk, SE10 0ES (Mixture of office and site-based activity)
SHIFT PATTERN: 08.30am 17.00pm Monday to Friday
SALARY: £50,000 - £59,665 per annum (depending on experience)
ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE
Supervisor for planned preventative and reactive maintenance of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems on the TFL estate.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful delivery of all planned maintenance activities within Transport for Londons Operational Support Premises in line with agreed programs.
Co-ordinate engineering teams to ensure successful delivery of HVAC Maintenance across all Operational Support premises.
Provide technical knowledge and guidance to Engineers completing planned and reactive maintenance.
Ensure a duty of care is provided to all operatives within the team as far as reasonably practicable to ensure all activities are completed in a safe manner in line with company policies.
Maintain Engineers training Matrix.
Maintain good relationships and communication with the customer / client.
Ensure that quality is monitored via site audits and inspections.
Achieve KPI Targets by Managing Engineers productivity and time keeping.
Monitor stock levels and procure materials as necessary.
Ensure that site persons in charge are complying with Method statements and SSOW and ensure site documentation is completed and available on request.
Identify and recommend system / service improvements and / or variations from BS5839 pt 1 2013, BS5306 etc.) during PPM/reactive visits, supplying accurate scopes of work with quotes to the client (where necessary)
Maintain FORS compliance within the team.
Manage F-GAS Testing and compliance programmes on the TFL Estate BCV/SSL, JNP Stations and Operational support premises.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
NVQ level 2/3 in air conditioning and refrigeration
F-Gas qualification for refrigerant handling
Essential Electrics - Refrigeration electrics - Preferable
CSCS card
Strong communication and leadership skills
Team player capable of leading and focusing team members to achieve their objectives.
Knowledge of HVAC Systems and F-GAS Compliance
Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
Strong IT skills
Driving Licence
Previous experience within a Rail environment preferred
Able to operate within a fast-paced environment and adapt to change effectively
