We're recruitment for a Lead Dispatcher that will be available soon at Nottingham Station In this role, you'll supervise the day-to-day activities of Platform Assistants at Nottingham Station ensuring they provide safe and efficient train dispatch and ensure that all activities are carried out safely. To provide a high standard of customer service, including accurate and timely information provision, at the station and assist in providing a clean, safe and presentable environment to all Nottingham Station customers according to East Midlands Trains contractual obligations. What you'll do in role: Responsible for care of all dispatch equipment. Ensure compliance with all safety responsibilities as detailed in the appropriate Safety Responsibility Statement as well as the Health & Safety at Work Act. Ensure the safe and punctual dispatch of trains in line with station policy and safety guidelines. Ensure high levels of customer service are provided. Ensure staff and customers are provided with the available accurate and timely information. Ensure own safety and that of others at all times and comply with all appropriate rules and regulations. Act as a focal point for receiving and disseminating information on the platforms. Maintain high levels of cleanliness across the platforms. Ensure all uniform, name badge, safety shoes and personal protective equipment provided is worn as required. Maintain a record of delays, re-platforming, and other events affecting the train plan. Assist with disabled passengers as required. Carry out security checks in line with current risk levels and maintain a high level of security vigilance at all times. Carry out evacuation duties as appropriate. Deal with all lost property handed in on the platform according to station guidelines. At Nottingham station, the Lead Dispatcher’s earliest book on is around 05:00 and their latest book off is around 23:15, which you will need to be able to attend work for.
