The Opportunity:
We are looking for a research technician to work on projects requiring extraction and archiving of genomic DNA and RNA and from human tissues. You must be conscientious in the performance of laboratory tasks to a high standard and in compliance with Health and Safety requirements. Ability to work as part of a team and having good organisational skills is essential. Previous experience of working in a commercial or academic laboratory is desirable.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns.
The salary for this post is £29,179 to £33,482 per annum.
Your skills and attributes for success:
Familiarity and experience in the principles of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)
Experience of sample tracking software
Extensive experience of working as part of a laboratory team
Must possess good organisational skills, be able to work independently and have project management experience
