We are looking for a Quality System Assurance Specialist to maintain and improve the quality and food safety systems within our organization. Successful candidates will focus on ensuring compliance with established quality standards, implementing quality procedures, and managing non-conformance trends. Additionally, you will oversee complaint handling, conduct internal audits, and provide support for various quality management systems.
Reporting to the Quality and Food Safety Manager, you will collaborate and liaise with international quality and food safety team members to ensure all stakeholders are aligned and sharing best quality practices.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain quality and food safety Group KPIs: Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality and food safety, ensuring that targets are met or exceeded.
2. Prepare and update central procedures to ensure consistent implementation of quality and food safety processes.
3. Analyse and maintain records of non-conformances, identifying trends and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
4. Evaluate CAPA effectiveness/timeliness: Assess the effectiveness and timeliness of corrective and preventive actions.
5. Manage, develop and improve IT systems: LIMS, ShP, Intellect, etc.
6. Conduct audits of raw materials specifications to ensure compliance with quality standards and supplier agreements.
7. Provide oversight and management of laboratories, including equipment calibration, proficiency testing, and adherence to good laboratory practices (GLPs).
8. Plan, conduct, and report on internal audits to assess compliance with quality standards, identify areas for improvement, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
9. Develop and deliver training for internal staff and suppliers on quality systems processes.
10. Review and approve product specifications.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Food Science, Quality Assurance, or a related discipline.
2. At least 3 years of experience in implementing and maintaining quality systems in a FMCG manufacturing environment.
3. Solid understanding of quality management principles, food safety regulations, and industry best practices.
4. Analytical skills and ability to interpret and analyse data (i.e.: Excel, PowerPoint, ShP, Power BI).
5. Knowledge of CAPA processes and non-conformance management.
6. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
