Milk Education are seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning Mentor to join our partner primary school in Bury. This is a long-term opportunity with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the pastoral care team in promoting positive behaviour throughout the school.
- Assist class teachers and support staff in providing targeted help to key children within the classroom environment.
- Conduct one-on-one and small group sessions aimed at improving self-esteem, managing anger, and developing social skills.
- Create and deliver personalised sessions designed to address specific learning goals for children with varied needs.
- Work with the Pastoral Care Manager to address issues related to attendance, family matters, and other areas of concern.
What We Are Looking For:
- Previous experience in a comparable role within an educational environment.
- In-depth knowledge of behaviour management techniques and safeguarding procedures.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A proven team player with the ability to work effectively alongside others.
- A strong dedication to supporting the welfare and inclusion of all pupils.
