As a Field Service Engineer for Beckman Coulter Life Science, you will be responsible for providing high-quality onsite customer support and represent the face of the company to our customers.
Conducting routine maintenance, installation, and repair of Beckman Coulter products at customer sites, including calibration, and mechanical and electrical testing, in accordance with maintenance contracts and production of Installation/Operation Quality documents.
Diagnosing system failures and determining the most cost-effective solution and escalating complex issues to a greater level of technical support or quality reporting system.
Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, this role is instrumental in providing a high level of customer support, requiring close interaction and good working relationships with both our customers and colleagues in the Cambridge region, with travel to other regions as required.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
1. Respond to customer support calls within your assigned territory and escalate complex issues as required to ensure a timely fix. Diagnose system failures and determine the most cost-effective resolution.
2. Ensure Preventative Maintenance Inspections and modifications are completed within the specified time frames.
3. Ensure accurate and timely completion of all paperwork, debriefing and reports and maintain accurate car inventory.
The essential requirements of the job include:
1. A minimum HNC (or equivalent) in a relevant technical subject.
2. Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally at all levels.
3. Full clean UK driving license.
