We have an exciting opportunity for a Scholarships Coordinator to join the AfOx group at Centre for Tropical Medicine and Global Health. Reporting to the Scholarships Programme Manager, you will facilitate the delivery of the AfOx scholarship support programme for in-person scholars and distance learners.
You will be responsible for supporting the Scholarship Programme Manager to ensure the smooth delivery of all support programmes for both online and in-person scholars including the orientation, leadership and impact programme and the catch-up programme. You will provide support in managing communication with scholars across the AfOx scholars programmes and coordinating distance scholars attendance at a conference in Africa, including liaising with conference organisers, academic programmes and the programme team. Additionally, you will work closely with student facilitators to support students on onboarding, and support in gathering feedback from online and in-person scholars and complete all preparations and logistics needed for scholars’ events.
To be successful in this role, you will be educated to A-Levels or equivalent together with previous administrative experience. You will be highly organized, have excellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills. You will be able to manage a varied workload under pressure and work independently using your own initiative and as part of a team. Previous experience of working with African organisations and a working knowledge of GDPR is desirable.
This position is offered full-time on a fixed-term contract for 36 months and is funded by the Mastercard Foundation.

Pay Scale
STANDARD GRADE 5
Salary (£): Grade 5: Salary in range £31,459 - £36,616 per annum. This is inclusive of a pensionable Oxford University Weighting of £1,500 per year.
