The Opportunity BDR Thermea has invested strongly in acquisitions and R&D in the commercial business in the past years. This gives Baxi UK, as part of group access to a growing portfolio of products and solutions to strengthen its’ position in various commercial market segments, like education, hotels and restaurants and apartment buildings with centralized heating solutions. The coming year, Baxi UK intends to invest in its’ organization and teams to grow market share and turnover and help acceleration the energy transition in the commercial segments. To focus and to maximise this opportunity a new executive leadership position will be created to lead the commercial business in this exiting opportunity. What will you be doing? The new UK Commercial Business Director will: Leads and transforms the UK Commercial Sales teams including Building Solutions, Integrated Solutions and Technical Solutions teams. Lead towards solution selling and accelerating the business readiness for the energy transition (to become one of the top 3 players in heat pumps, hybrids and systems), maximizing our renewable energy product offering and strengthening our customer intimacy. Designs and implements the commercial market development strategy including cultural change around the energy transition to increase market share and gross profit in support of both short- and long-term business plans. You will alongside the product management team develop a clear roadmap of solutions for the key used cases Responsible for setting the pricing strategy and using customer data to identify market opportunities to innovate and expand current product offerings to enhance our current market positioning. On a daily basis you’ll be responsible for: Manage overall accountability for the Sales margin development, ensuring increased market share across all commercial product ranges. Drive the transformation of the Commercial Sales teams towards solution selling and renewables adapting the organizational structures and developing the internal capabilities towards this aim. Directly manage the Sales, Technical support, Specification Sales, in compliance with Group policies, processes and procedures and ensuring a strong pipeline of diverse talent across all areas of responsibility. Develop and direct strong commercial renewables offer to take advantage of the energy transition and win in the market. Work closely with all other regions across BDRT Group and contribute to the implementation and success of the Group Strategy. Participate fully in discussion and debate at the UK executive board to ensure that the business is governed effectively and driven to the highest levels of performance. Review pricing models, to exploit the opportunities presented by different market segments, channels and their discrete requirements Better utilize customer data, leveraging on CRM data to embed more effective sales processes, with the aim to increase sales productivity and grow market share by attracting new customers, cross-selling, up-selling and win back actions. About you: We want to make sure you’re set up for success in our mission. To be successful in your application you’ll need to; Extensive experience with a proven track record as a decisive, action-oriented Sales professional who has built and scaled sales in a complex market and matrix organization. B2C and B2B sector experience gained within the energy market with strong knowledge of solution selling and the commercial building sector Educated to bachelor’s and ideally Masters level Extensive experience of working in a complex market and matrixed international business. Ability to collaborate and influence extensively at all levels internally and externally including at Management Board level, external thought leadership level and to promote BDR Thermea at all levels. Exceptional customer-oriented mindset acting as the customers’ advocate within the business. Strong financial expertise in managing budgets and data-driven approach. Leading cultural change and transforming teams in light of significant changes in legislation, market and product ranges and capabilities. Outstanding leadership skills in terms of people management, communications and cultural shifts. Please note a full role profile will be provided upon receipt on application. This role does allow for hybrid working however there will be a requirement to be in Warwick Head office - 3 days a week.
