This is an opportunity for a Training & Quality Co-ordinator role in the new Quality, Safety and Improvement Directorate of the NHS Wales Executive, to be part of our team at a busy and exciting time as we step-up our support to help NHS Wales improve care for the people of Wales.
Improvement Cymru is a core part of the new Quality, Safety and Improvement directorate. Together, we work alongside organisations to empower, embed and elevate improvements to quality and safety, delivering all-Wales improvement programmes to achieve quality and safety priorities.
We have an exciting opportunity in the Improvement Cymru team to be a core part of the Improvement Cymru Academy. The overarching goal of the Improvement Cymru Academy and Patient Education is to support NHS Wales through improved outcomes and experience for the population of Wales. We work closely with partners in health, social care, education and wider UK improvement partners to inform our improvement curricula development.
You’ll be joining an ambitious team, comprising some of the most qualified, experienced Improvement professionals in health and social care in Wales. As part of our new direction, we want to strengthen our Academy team by recruiting new team members from diverse backgrounds with a mix of skills, personalities and experiences – considering candidates from both an NHS background as well as other sectors. The position will be based in our NHS Executive offices in south and north Wales, however current working conditions support a blend of office and home-working.
The role will focus on supporting the coordination of learning and support, building upon the solid foundations already established.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post however English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
The NHS Executive works in partnership for and on behalf of Welsh Government, in and with the NHS in Wales and is hosted by Public Health Wales.
Our key purpose is to drive improvements in the quality and safety of care - resulting in better and more equitable outcomes, access and patient experience, reduced variation, and improvements in population health.
We do this by providing strong leadership and strategic direction – enabling, supporting, and directing NHS Wales to transform clinical services in line with national priorities and standards.
