Managing Director, UK & Ireland Markets Description - The UK and Ireland Market Managing Director is responsible for developing and deploying strategies that will advance market share/penetration, achieve profitable growth, and promote diversity, inclusion, and sustainability. This position will manage a Go To Market team in the UK and Ireland market and collaborate with Commercial Organization (CO) leaders with a focus on driving sales through established partners and customers directly. The position will report to the NorthWest Europe Market MD, as part of HP’s Commercial Organization. The position will also be responsible for representing HP’s interests in the United Kingdom and Ireland, internally and externally, and for fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. The Country MD will lead the HP UK&I Market within a multifaceted and heavily matrixed global organization. Responsible for operational success, strategic alignment and integration of activities with other major organizational functions both across the UK & Ireland and as part of the NorthWest Europe market. Responsible for one or more recognized professional disciplines. Fully accountable for the success of the designated function, the UK&I Commercial Organization. Influences strategy and sets policy and direction. Owns a significant number of measurable functional, operational and strategic goals or priorities. Assumes responsibility for the successful implementation of business plans in a defined area of responsibility. Accountable for leading and inspiring the UK & Ireland CO team by establishing trust and building a winning workplace culture. Contributes to the overall strategic definition of a function with strong business acumen. Acts as a key advisor to executive management in influencing the strategic direction of the business. Partners closely and effectively with peers in the other clusters who together form the NorthWest Europe Market. Responsibilities of this country leadership role include but are not limited to: · Develops, owns and leads execution on the UK & Ireland’s strategic plan, operational success and full integration with HP’s strategy, both within NorthWest Europe and globally · Fully accountable for the long-term success of the UK & Ireland market · Responsible for the operational success, strategic alignment and full integration of activities with other major organizational functions · Fully accountable for the long-term success of the designated organization and to the overall contribution to broader Company goals. · Assumes responsibility for the successful implementation of business plans in a defined area of responsibility. · Leadership – Assumes point accountability and responsibility for HP UK and Ireland and drives a performance-based value system and culture that promotes diversity, inclusion, and sustainability · Leads the market management team and drives a high - performance culture · Growth – Drives profitable growth across the UK and Ireland · Leads HP UK and HP Ireland and represents them to stakeholders and the external market. · Delivers work that has broad company and/ or industry-wide impact. Knowledge and Experience Requirements · Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or any other related discipline; Master’s Degree preferred · 10-12 years account management experience. · Experience in IT industry and in vertical industry preferred. · Experience in leading regional global teams. · P&L and risk management skills and experience required. · Cross country management experience is required · Demonstrated experiences driving large-scale change · Ability to lead with influence; demonstrated experience inspiring teams to meet shared goals and vision · Proven learning agility and results focused This job description describes the general nature and level of work performed in this role.
