THIS POST IS FIXED TERM FOR 13 MONTHS DUE TO FUNDING
The role involves working closely with key stakeholders across the organisation, including clinical teams, to ensure the successful implementation and utilisation of the new electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (ePMA) system. The primary focus is on providing comprehensive digital literacy training to all relevant personnel.
Main duties of the job
* Engage with various stakeholders within the organisation, including clinical teams, IT specialists, and administrative staff, to identify training needs and develop a tailored training plan.
* Work collaboratively with department heads to schedule and coordinate training sessions, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.
* Maintain open communication channels with all stakeholders to gather feedback and make necessary adjustments to the training program.
* Design and deliver digital literacy training programs that are specific to the ePMA system, ensuring all users are comfortable and proficient in its use.
* Develop training materials, including user manuals, quick reference guides, and online tutorials, to support the training sessions.
* Conduct hands-on training sessions, workshops, and seminars to ensure practical understanding and application of the ePMA system.
* Provide ongoing support and refresher training sessions as needed to address any emerging issues or updates to the system.
* On-site digital and ePMA system training and support will be a key responsibility for this role.

Main Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive training on Clinical Applications tailored to meet the differing requirements of users in the Health Board.
* Provide Application training to all levels of staff who use the clinical systems.
* Liaise with Heads of Departments to arrange for staff to be released for training.
* Liaise with Heads of Department to arrange for staff to be released for user acceptance testing.
* Appraise / analyse new modules before any major updates connect to the live systems.
* Responsible for drafting and updating application training materials including eLearning modules and user guides.
* Conduct refresher sessions for existing users who have been identified as consistently making input errors.
* Provide detailed instruction as necessary and respond to wide-ranging and detailed questioning in own area(s) of specialisation.
* Develop examples and material for use in pre-defined courses.
Person Specification
Qualifications and / or Knowledge
* Educated to degree standard or relevant experience
* Excellent administrative and organisational skills
* Training qualification or considerable relevant experience within a training environment
* Understanding / experience in the production of process maps
* Understanding of ITIL
Experience
* Experience of training groups of learners with variable skill levels, managing group dynamics to ensure a positive outcome
* Experience of training administration such as scheduling courses, recording attendance, feedback from delegates and preparing all necessary materials and paperwork prior to courses
* In depth knowledge of patient administration and clinical systems
Other
* Ability to travel within Powys geographical area

* Effective interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to develop and maintain good relationships with a range of stakeholders and communicate effectively with a diverse range of specialists
* Excellent computer skills and experience of Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to learn new applications and the ability to transfer knowledge to others effectively
* Highly motivated and committed to improving functionality within electronic systems and encouraging user participation
* Ability to speak Welsh
