This is a fantastic opportunity to join and work across the Bedfordshire Neurotherapy service. This multi-disciplinary team aims to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions, accelerate hospital discharges, and provide neurorehabilitation in the community.
You will be joining a friendly, dedicated, and supportive team of Physiotherapists, Occupational therapists, Psychologists, Speech & Language therapists, therapy assistants, and administrators. You will be responsible for completing a wide variety of administrative tasks in supporting the Stroke, ABI, and Neuro pathways and Service lead.
You will have a good level of IT literacy, be familiar with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, and be numerate, able to maintain data spreadsheets and trackers, and input data accurately into a variety of systems. Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills are essential to deal with ever-changing priorities. Any knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial but not essential.
The successful candidate will also be able to arrange meetings, take minutes, maintain action trackers, and prepare meeting papers. Flexible working options are available.

Main Duties of the Job
1. Provide a full range of administrative support to Bedfordshire Neurotherapy service, including Early Supported Discharge Stroke, Neuro rehab, and Acquired Brain Injury pathways.
2. Act as the first point of contact for the Neurotherapy service, providing comprehensive and confidential administrative and secretarial support to a multidisciplinary clinical team.
3. Liaise with other administrators, clinicians, and the leadership team to provide secretarial and administrative support throughout the patient pathways.
4. Manage correspondence, handle telephone calls, and support team members with office IT, escalating issues when required.
5. Understand the services delivered and staff roles within the service.
6. Support SSNAP audit (Stroke Sentinel National Audit Program for Stroke) along with the Service Lead in data collection and inputting in the SSNAP portal, ensuring accurate stroke data entry within a timely manner.
7. Work with the Service Leads to facilitate team management, service review, and improvement.
8. Action referrals received by the service and register them to the appropriate pathways on SystmOne in a timely manner.
9. Escalate any referral-related information to the Service Leads, Discharge Coordinator, or clinicians as necessary.

Qualifications & Training
* Educated to A level (or equivalent), NVQ level 3, RSA Higher diploma with a good basic education including maths and English.
* Willingness to train/develop further skills.
Experience
* Proven experience of delivering a wide range of administrative tasks to a high standard within the NHS or in a patient/service-focused environment.
* Experience in using SystmOne.
* Experience of contributing to the development of teams and service delivery.
* Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
* Advanced keyboard skills for regular use of computer systems/able to touch type.
* Knowledge of Stroke Sentinel audit.
* Experience in audit/data collection and inputting.
