Job summary The MACPT Health Lead will be a registered nurse with significant demonstrable knowledge and experience to act as a recognised expert in the field of safeguarding and child protection. The role will: Work in partnership with colleagues and manager within children's services, police and education, in order to provide a coherent and coordinated service to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people. Investigate and support decision making where there are situations involving significant harm to children and young people. Participate in and lead rollout of regular safeguarding supervision and consultation with team managers. Support and lead the delivery of the roll out of the FFCP reforms across the health economy, including health partners within the BLMK ICB footprint. Ensure effective communication between all partners at an operational level and strategically in conjunction with the Deputy Chief Nurse, Director of Nursing Safeguarding and Vulnerabilities. Mobilise the health role and function within the Multi-Agency Child Protection (MACPT) Investigation Team. Be professional accountable and maintain the standards of professional practice as set by the NMC. Accountable for identifying and ensuring improvements in patient safety, patient experience and operational delivery. Provide expert health advice on matters and risks that arise through the programme.
