Your new opportunity
Our Stopover Service are currently recruiting Relief Transition Mentors to join our dedicated team based in Glasgow. The service provides support to young people who are homeless. This is the perfect time for someone to join the service through a period of change and help support young people through trauma informed practices and empower young people, so their voice is heard. ‘The Promise’ is that Scotland’s children will grow up loved, safe and respected and as Transition Mentor will be expected to embrace this approach to the support you deliver #keepthepromise. You will work closely with young people aged between 16-25 exploring opportunities for them within employment, education and community integration. Some of the young people we support have experienced severe trauma in their young lives and you will provide advise and support to ensure they are safe and feel heard.
Working pattern Our Stopover night shifts run on a 7-week rolling rota supporting young people 24/7. Working 10pm to 8am, Shifts can include evenings and weekends. Sleepover shifts are paid at an hourly rate.
