Our client is pioneering the development of a new power in the UK, and we’re looking for a Power Plant Manager to join their growing team. With two deep wells already drilled and the plant nearing the final stages of construction, this is an incredible chance to be part of history as we launch the UK’s first type power plant.
This full-time role offers a unique opportunity to learn how the plant will operate, with full training provided. You’ll take on the responsibility of leading operations from late 2024 into early 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the power plant’s operation, including electrical, mechanical, and administrative activities to ensure smooth running
- Collaborate closely with construction, drilling, and community engagement teams,
- Manage daily and weekly production reports, and ensure machinery is maintained and repaired regularly
- Implement health, safety, and environmental regulations in line with UK legislation
- Lead the operations team, ensuring effective troubleshooting and resolution of any faults
- Be proactive in sourcing consumables and spare parts for the plant
Requirements:
- Degree-level technical qualification
- Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation
- Experience in fault resolution, troubleshooting, and interpreting project drawings
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Keen interest in renewable energy and new technologies
- Full UK driving license
