Position: Mechanical Engineer (Level 2)

Salary: £34,931.68
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our team at HMP Maidstone, a men's prison. Join a team that is more than just a group of colleagues - we work Monday to Sunday as a supportive and driven family, working together to create a safe and nurturing environment.
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues who vary from Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, to Cleaners, and Administrators, all dedicated to making a positive difference.
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with any combination of the following qualifications:
1. Two years' experience working in a role as a plumber or equivalent
2. Familiarity with Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements
3. Experience working on commercial or industrial heating and water systems
4. Good working knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements
5. Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and heating) and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent
6. Good Health & Safety knowledge
7. Excellent organisational, time management, and people skills
