We seek to appoint a permanent, Full Time Teacher of French and Spanish from 1 September 2025. This is an opportunity for a dynamic individual to join a well-established MFL department in a school that places huge value on the study of languages. The school also continues to offer foreign exchange trips to support language learning. The successful candidate will be able to teach Spanish up to GCSE and French up to A level. About the Department: Our Modern Languages Department is currently made up of 9 staff (full and part time) and is overseen by the Curriculum Leader for MFL. The department is friendly, dedicated and encourages students to achieve their potential. Currently students in Year 7 begin learning either French or Spanish with those for an aptitude for languages taking up a second language in Year 8 (German). The majority of Backwell School students take at least one language to GCSE and we currently offer French, Spanish and German A Level to our students.
