In this role, you will assist with planning, designing, and directing engineering projects within the business unit. You may oversee aspects of the Dirty and Clean Utility Piping design process, assist with specialised designs, and work on several concurrent projects within the Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Life Sciences, or Laboratory industries.
What You'll Do
1. Subject Matter Expert for dirty and clean pipework and its components for the EMEA region.
2. Produces and maintains a library of mechanical standard of pipework systems including ASME BPE, ANSI, ISO, and DIN.
3. Prepare design computations and quality estimates and develop probable cost estimates for the smaller projects within the business unit.
4. Conducts and interprets stress analysis using software such as CAESAR II or ROHR.
5. Advise pipework designers on the design of pipework, components, and pipe supports.
6. Modify scopes of work for mechanical designs (Utility Piping) based on preliminary review and client meetings.
7. Select equipment based on recommendations of the Project Designer/Engineer and fill out equipment schedules.
8. Review the work of the project design teams, check the progress of the work, and alert Project Managers of scope changes or additional services.
9. Provide drawings for own designs and produce sketches.
10. Promotes the use of IPS design and production standards.

Qualifications & Requirements
1. 5+ years of proven mechanical design experience (Dirty and Clean Utility Piping) within Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Life Sciences, or Laboratory industries.
2. Industry experience is required, but comparable experience in Oil and Gas, chemical, or similar will also be considered.
3. Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
4. Utility Piping design and/or pipework fabrication experience.
Preferred Qualifications
1. A chartered Engineer.
