Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Preston, Lancashire
Start Date: September 2024
Salary: £75 - £85 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Working Hours: 8:45 am - 3:10 pm
School: Mainstream Primary
Specialism: Experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at a vibrant primary school in Preston. The successful candidate will support students within the classroom, assisting teachers to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons
- Provide one-to-one support to students requiring additional help
- Support students' social and emotional development
- Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning atmosphere
- Prepare and organise resources for lessons
- Support students with special educational needs
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is preferred but not essential
- Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organisational and time management abilities
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
