Financial Planner Support Location: Bury St Edmunds Job Type: Full-time Salary: up to £35k Reed Financial Services are partnering with a Financial Services firm seeking a dedicated Financial Planner Support professional to join their team. The role involves providing essential administrative support to Financial Planners and Directors, ensuring they have accurate information for client meetings, maintaining up-to-date client records, and supporting the development of junior team members. Day to Day of the role: Generate and compile documents to create accurate client review packs and ensure their accuracy. Provide timely information by liaising with providers and third parties as necessary. Maintain a clear audit trail for all client records, ensuring documents are saved and named correctly. Keep Financial Planners and team members informed of progress, escalate concerns, and hold weekly review meetings to discuss priorities and issues. Prepare for and attend client meetings to support Financial Planners, presenting parts of the meeting as required. Conduct pre and post reviews, delegating tasks to team support where appropriate, and ensure prompt issuance of meeting notes and completion of actions. Support and develop junior team members, enabling them to undertake tasks that benefit the team and clients. Complete due diligence for new business, generate platform calculators, and highlight any queries with your line manager. Generate template suitability letters, complete factual client and plan elements, and liaise with Lead Support or Senior Financial Planner Support for assistance. In conjunction with the Financial Planner, check and action cash weightings weekly. Ensure internal systems are up to date and opportunities are added and maintained regularly. Process all client instructions using the respective advice flow, checklists, and internal event lists and tasks. Maintain and update personal talent development records, ensuring objectives are current and training impact is recorded. Participate in projects and specific tasks to support your development. Required Skills & Qualifications: Progressing towards the Diploma in Financial Planning (Diploma level 4 desirable). Experience in providing accurate and timely financial services administrative support. Good understanding of internal systems and processes. Knowledge of pensions and investments. Excellent attention to detail, computer literacy, data management, and analytical skills. Strong organisational, prioritisation, time management, and team working abilities. Proficient in building and maintaining relationships, with excellent communication skills. Ability to train others and raise issues or errors, challenging where necessary.
