Job Description
Our client in the construction sector, which provides materials and services, is looking to grow the accounts and finance team due to business expansion. Working in a modern office environment, this role is ideal for a candidate keen to work for a business that invests in its staff and offers future progression to Management Accounts level.
You will enjoy responsibility as you support the overall day-to-day running of the Accounts & Finance department, ensuring seamless operations.
Day to day duties include:
Accounts Payable:
1. Setting up new suppliers.
2. Posting and reconciliation of staff expenses.
3. Generating supplier payments as required.
4. Reconciling supplier statements to creditors.
5. Cash posting and allocation.
6. Balance sheet reconciliation.
7. Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
8. Posting accruals and prepayment journals.
9. Collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive best practices and process efficiencies.
10. Promoting and driving strong relationships with all departments.
Accounts Receivable:
1. Setting up new customer accounts.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
1. AAT qualified, a stopped studier, or equivalent.
2. Experience in an accounts and finance function.
3. Strong attention to detail.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Evidence of building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
7. Ability to learn in-house systems.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Hours:
1. Monday – Friday.
2. 9am – 5pm with a 30-minute break.
