We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Estimator for our client based in Wiltshire. This includes managing design aspects, preparing accurate quotations, and supporting the business in securing projects. Reporting to the Managing Director/Senior Electrical Estimator, you will contribute your expertise and insights to deliver high-quality tender submissions and foster lasting client relationships. Salary - £45,000 - £50,000p/a Working Hours - Monday to Friday Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements. Evaluate project risks and conduct preliminary design work when needed. Research materials and equipment to ensure suitability. Prepare and issue enquiries to suppliers and sub-contractors for quotations. Perform detailed material take-offs from service drawings and specifications. Set up estimates in specialist software, incorporating labour, material, and subcontract costs. Conduct site surveys and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for optimal pricing. Finalise project costs with senior management and prepare tender submissions, including supporting documentation. Ensure tender deadlines are met and follow up to assist in securing projects. Handover secured project packages to the contracts team, providing full scope insights. Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, architects, and suppliers. Organise and file project documentation appropriately. Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and procedures. Provide additional support to the estimating and design team as needed. Person Specification: Proven experience in a similar role with knowledge of installation methods and the ability to read drawings/specifications. Strong numerical, written communication, and presentation skills. Logical, methodical approach with keen attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and estimating software. Excellent problem-solving, planning, and organisational abilities. Commitment to quality and delivering exceptional results. Knowledge of industry policies, processes, and procedures. Strong customer service orientation, teamwork skills, and interpersonal abilities.
