Tell me more about the role….
We have a fantastic opportunity for an Employment Paralegal to join our team based in Northampton.
You will provide full support to our Employment team, maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and presentation to ensure a first-class service is provided to our clients. You will need to be competent at working independently and be a team player with a positive and flexible ‘can do’ attitude. Excellent client care skills are essential, as well as strong organisational skills. You will have the ability to confidently manage your own workload, prioritise effectively, have excellent communication skills and be a team player.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will support our Employment team, who cover a diverse caseload incorporating contentious and non-contentious work for employer clients. This includes SMEs, OMBs and listed companies. In addition, they also act for employees covering the full range of Employment matters. This is a full and busy role and will include the following:
* Dealing directly with clients.
* Taking free initial advice calls with clients before instruction.
* General file administration including dictations, writing file notes and invoicing.
* Checking and drafting paperwork.
* Supporting other members of the team.
* Working in conjunction with our Corporate & Commercial, Commercial Litigation, and Commercial Property teams.
* Writing articles and updates for the website and our Quarterly Newsletter.
This role would be an excellent opportunity for an ambitious person who has a passion for Employment Law. After successful completion of Probation, the firm will be in a position to fully fund the SQE 1 and SQE 2 preparation (tuition, courses of study) and separate external examinations for candidates that are interested in that. This will be subject to a repayment ‘training agreement’. If the SQE is not for you, or not for you yet, the paralegal role very much remains, so get in touch and we will work out something that works for us all. This element is of course subject to terms and conditions that will be discussed if there is an offer to be made.
