Key Responsibilities of a Nursing Home Manager:
• Overall running of the home, including budgets, staff management, quality, and compliance.
• Staff appraisals, meetings, and disciplinaries.
• Building relationships and communication with residents, relatives, and external stakeholders.
• Maintaining high occupancy levels and managing agency usage.
• Ensuring the home is safe and operates with high standards.
• Collaborating with the Deputy Manager and other staff for consistent team development.
Nursing Home Manager Requirements:
• Nurse qualification (Active Pin) – open to different nursing backgrounds.
• Management experience, particularly in a similar setting, or experience as a Deputy Manager.
• Experience in maintaining high standards and occupancy in a nursing home.
• Strong leadership and the ability to work autonomously.
• Excellent staff retention and 1-1 management experience.
• Good track record with CQC.
• Computer literacy.
