Job Description - Sales Planning Specialist (MER0003EV2)
About Us
At Mercedes-Benz Cars, we’re passionate about what we do. Whether we’re exploring ways to make motoring more sustainable, or pushing the boundaries of technology, innovation underpins everything we do.
How you’ll play your part
We’re looking for someone highly-motivated and passionate, who understands planning and forecasting to support business decision making and can utilise their highly developed analytical skills and attention to detail. In this role you’ll support the short, medium, and long-term Group Sales and Retails volume planning process for a range of models. Your goal will be to help ensure CO2, financial, and volume targets are achieved. Communication will be key as you will collaborate with stakeholders across the business to ensure volume plans for all sales channels accurately reflect business priorities, production requirements, and optimum stock positions.
You will calculate the production allocation each channel will receive by month for the models you manage, based on the latest production programme to meet agreed sales channel targets. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment where you will work closely with key stakeholders to collect and analyse feedback on the models you manage, making recommendations to the business to meet the business priorities and minimise special discount spend.
You’ll demonstrate strong prioritisation abilities to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines efficiently as you will be supporting the creation of the Sales Programme & MFP each month, outlining our top-line retails ambition by model, stock levels, and required production volumes.
As a key responsibility, you will lead and support regular review meetings with Sales Channel Heads to adjust retail and production plans based on sales trends, updating ordering templates as needed with Controlling's input. Additionally, you will assist in the monthly analysis and distribution of Engine Mix files for vehicle orders, and support annual planning discussions with Region Europe through detailed analysis of market trends by model, segment, fuel type, and sales channel.
Advanced Excel and strong PowerPoint skills are essential for this role, as you will create complex Excel spreadsheets and translate data into clear, actionable presentations. Power BI experience is a big advantage. A university degree or equivalent experience is necessary, ensuring strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to be successful in this position.
At Mercedes-Benz, we operate with integrity and therefore you are required to maintain ethical standards in accordance with our polices and adhere to the Company's Compliance Guidelines and Policies including Anti-Bribery and all relevant competition law.
What’s in it for you
As well as the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, with a great team and culture, we’ll offer you a competitive salary and discretionary bonus structure. We also hope you’ll love our products as much as we do, with access to our colleague car schemes. On top of that, you’ll be able to join our pension scheme and you’ll get a flexible benefit pot that can be used to find the benefits that are right for you. We are pleased to be able to offer a hybrid working approach – achieving a great balance between remote and office working.
