Permanent Veterinary Surgeon with an Imaging Bias - Chichester
Type: Small Animal
Practice Type: Proudly independent, they are driven to create a better veterinary future for their team.
* You became a vet so you could change the lives of pets and their owners. Our client shares that calling. But they also understand that to be at your best for your patients, you need support, work-life balance, and growth opportunities.
* They believe every veterinary professional should feel part of a community that builds them up, connects them with their passion, and helps them thrive. That’s why they built this Independent Group.
* Together, we’re ‘more than vets’. They’re proudly independent, and the freedom that this brings sets them apart.
* Clinical freedom; freedom to deliver care with a personal touch; freedom to do what’s right.
* The interior design in their clinics provides a warm, comforting, home-from-home feeling. It’s hard to put into words, but you’ll feel the difference as soon as you walk through the door.
The Role: They are looking for a veterinary surgeon with a strong background in imaging to join their state-of-the-art hospital where they work collaboratively with their night team to deliver exceptional, personalised care to patients 24/7.
Hours:
* 4-day week, 10 hour working shifts (various shift times between 7.30 am-7.30 pm), totaling 40 hours. 1 hour lunch break.
* Equal rota (1 in 6) for emergencies over weekends and bank holidays.
* 2 days off in lieu of any weekends worked.
* They would consider part-time applicants for this role and have an open-minded approach to flexible working requests.
Support: Although much of your working time will be dedicated to imaging cases (particularly ultrasonography), all our vets also contribute towards first opinion and inpatient care. Whether your interest is in honing your area of clinical interest, completing a certificate, building leadership skills, or something else entirely, they’re committed to nurturing your talents. They are about to launch a referral service and would love you to be involved in this if you are already an Advanced Practitioner.
Candidate Requirements Summary
* You’ll be an experienced Veterinary Surgeon (MRCVS) with significant practical experience in diagnostic imaging, ideally with Advanced Practitioner status or a certificate that confers eligibility for this. However, they would consider applicants who have a focused interest in imaging, are skilled and practiced in abdominal ultrasound, and have an enthusiastic and passionate approach to developing further in this area, including undertaking a certificate.
* Most importantly, you’ll share and demonstrate our values. These are humility, respect, empathy, work ethic, honesty, communication, and teamwork.
Salary: They are offering a very competitive salary of between £50,000 to £70,000+ pa depending on level of experience/certificates/AP status.
Benefits Package:
* Your benefits will include generously funded CPD (Certificate funding available);
* 40% staff discount for own pets;
* Enhanced parental leave (6 months paid at 90%);
* Enhanced sickness benefit (2 weeks at 100%);
