Red Rock Partnership are delighted to be working with our prestigious client in Market Rasen who are looking for a Sales Engineer to join their busy team.
About The Role:
As a garden machinery technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting machinery while also identifying and developing new sales opportunities. This role requires a mix of technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills to provide excellent customer service and promote clients' cutting-edge products.
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
Working hours: 8am to 5pm; Monday to Friday
Location: Market Rasen, with required visits to customer sites in and around Lincoln, using a company vehicle.

Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Set up, calibrate, and maintain garden machinery systems, ensuring optimal performance.
2. Diagnose and resolve technical issues both remotely and on-site.
3. Identify upselling opportunities, recommend solutions tailored to client needs, and assist in closing sales.
4. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while proactively seeking new business opportunities.
5. Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and technological advancements to enhance sales and service strategies.
6. Ensure due care is given to customer and company property during service and installations.
7. Attend training courses as required to maintain compliance and understanding of the latest products and technologies.
8. Follow company health & safety rules and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
About You:
1. Mechanically minded.
2. Experience with a variety of forest & garden, domestic, and commercial machinery—ideally familiar with Husqvarna and competitive products.
3. Strong problem-solving and mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills, including the ability to diagnose faults.
4. Sales or customer service experience, with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities.
5. Competent IT skills for diagnostics and reporting.
6. Full clean driver's license (for on-site visits and installations).
7. Previous experience in a sales-driven role within the landscaping, grounds maintenance, or machinery/appliance industries selling to homeowners and end users.
