We are looking for a manager for our new National Lottery Community Fund-funded community development project, based in Dewsbury. This is an amazing opportunity for someone with the right skills and experience to make a real difference to the lives of local people and communities in targeted areas of Kirklees. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about empowering communities through co-production and community organising, is committed to addressing issues around fuel poverty and climate change, and is experienced in managing both projects and teams.
The project is designed to address fuel poverty by strengthening voluntary and community organisations, involving residents and reducing the money and power leaking out of our communities. This is a fixed-term contract until January 2028, based in Dewsbury, with flexible/negotiable hours.
Third Sector Leaders Kirklees’ Energy Neighbours project has been awarded over £900,000 of funds from The National Lottery Community Fund, to empower local people to take individual and collective climate action and reduce fuel poverty in their community. Energy Neighbours is an amazing opportunity for local community organisations and anyone who cares about our communities to make a real difference. Communities are at the heart of Energy Neighbours – the aim is to address fuel poverty by strengthening voluntary and community organisations, involving residents and reducing the money and power leaking out of our communities.
