Production Technician Electrical / Electronic

We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic Production Technician who will be performing a variety of tasks within the Production Department. The Production Technician will be responsible for the manufacture and test of a variety of products and assist in the implementation of processes and tooling/test equipment to support reliable and cost-effective manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out various builds & assemblies following detailed drawings and adhering to assembly procedures, following industry standards such as IPC 620 + 7711 / 7721 + JSTD.
2. Work proactively within a team, problem-solve when required, and liaise with Manufacturing Engineering for resolution.
3. Support prototyping and first build activity and prepare products for production.
4. Demonstrate a working knowledge of hand tools for mechanical and electrical operations.
5. Assist with the implementation of lean management systems, supporting audits as required.
6. Adhere to control processes to achieve a conforming product.
7. Complete documentation in accordance with quality & contractual requirements ensuring materials, tooling & product traceability.
8. Communicate failures and process improvement ideas to the Section Leader / Team Leader.
9. Maintain a high level of housekeeping standards in areas of activity.
10. Be aware and compliant with Environmental, Health & Safety requirements.
11. IPC / JSTD Certification will be provided to perform various operational tasks for the right candidate.
Knowledge and Experience:
1. A production technician who has worked in a multi-disciplined manufacturing environment.
2. Experienced building prototype cabinets / First of class.
3. Experienced in soldering, crimping, looming, electro-mechanical assembly.
4. Experience with MS Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Internet.
5. Understands the principles and need for production control documentation and traceability.
