We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Drainage Project Manager to lead and deliver CCTV & Jetting drainage projects across both rail and non-rail sectors.
The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in drainage survey, design, construction, and management, with proven expertise in delivering projects to high standards, on time, and within budget. This role requires a proactive leader with excellent organisational skills and a deep understanding of drainage challenges in diverse infrastructure settings.
Purpose of the Role
Project Management: Oversee the end-to-end management of drainage projects from planning, design, and construction to project close-out, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality standards.
* Lead communications and relationships with clients and their stakeholders.
* Ensure that all projects comply with Health and Safety Regulations and CDM requirements.
* Produce Risk Assessments, Method Statements and COSHH for all allocated schemes.
Comprehensive Drainage Services: Provide expert drainage solutions for some of the UK’s most prominent transport and infrastructure projects, contributing to groundbreaking and impactful work.
Technical Leadership: Provide technical direction and review for drainage solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards, environmental regulations, and safety requirements
Overseeing Project Delivery and Design Assurance: Ensure the successful delivery and quality assurance of a diverse range of rail drainage projects, maintaining high technical standards throughout.
Client Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships, and representing the organisation in client progress meetings.
Team Leadership and Development: Manage and mentor a team of rail drainage engineers, supporting their technical growth and ensuring optimal resource allocation across various projects.
1. Proven experience in managing Rail and Highway infrastructure projects.
2. Experience in working with drainage systems, including CCTV Inspections, Jetting, maintenance and repair and a strong understanding with the related risk and challenges.
3. Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline. Chartered Engineer and/or Project Manager (or working towards accreditation)
4. Expertise in implementing and managing best practice project management methodologies.
5. Comprehensive understanding of pre- and post-contract project management responsibilities.
6. Experience and understanding of Drainage Industry Standards (Rail & Non-rail).
7. Seeks to continuously improve outputs for the benefit of the business. Constantly raises the standard and quality of work, benchmarking against best practice.
8. Excellent communication skills, building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
9. Knowledge of WinCan or similar software.
