Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one tutoring to students in the subject of Science
* Create and implement individualised lesson plans to cater to the learning needs of students
* Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
* Communicate effectively with students, parents, and teachers regarding student progress
* Utilise a variety of teaching methods to engage students and enhance their understanding of Science concepts
Minimum Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
* Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
* Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Science Education, Biology, Chemistry)
* Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in Science
* Strong understanding of Science curriculum and teaching methods
* Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Patience and empathy when working with students
The Science Tutor role is a temporary position based in Buckingham, requiring part-time hours. The tutor will work closely with students in a one-on-one setting, either in person or remotely. The ability to travel to student locations may be necessary. The role may involve evening or weekend sessions to accommodate student schedules.
