We are looking to recruit a highly motivated Clinical Fellow to join our expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain greater Haematology knowledge and experience. The clinical fellow will work alongside the SpR to support seven consultant haematologists delivering haematological services to patients at Torbay.
It is expected that the individual will support clinics and the day unit and develop chemotherapy prescribing skills (if not already competent). They will support the department to develop clinical research activity. The post holder will be expected to support the teaching and training of the South West peninsula medical students.
Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust is an Integrated Care Organisation providing acute health care services from Torbay Hospital, community health services and adult social care. The Trust runs Torbay Hospital as well as five community hospitals, stretching from Dawlish to Brixham. We also provide health and social care to the local population.
The hospital is a medium-sized, progressive and innovative District General Hospital serving a resident population of approximately 375,000 people, plus about 100,000 visitors at any one time during the summer holiday season.
The Trust delivers non-surgical cancer services across Torbay and Newton Abbot Hospitals, providing acute care in inpatient, day-case and outpatients settings for patients living with and beyond their cancer diagnosis.
