Communications Manager
Location: Penzance
Hours: Monday- Friday 8am – 5pm with some out of hours work when operational comms is required.
Closing Date: 28 February 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Working alongside the Group Marketing Manager, develop and implement a corporate communications strategy that aligns with the company’s goals and values.
2. Oversee and manage the creation of external and internal corporate facing content including briefing papers, publications, and operational communications.
3. Social Media Content Creation & Management: working with the marketing and press office teams to develop, implement, and manage social media content across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Pinterest, and LinkedIn. Respond to comments and messages, fostering and building an engaged online community.
4. Develop and oversee paid competitions and campaigns, setting measurable goals and demonstrating Return on Investment (ROI).
5. Ensure all communications are created in the brand's tone of voice and tailored to the correct target audience to enhance understanding of our services and travel plans.
6. Work closely with marketing, freight operations, and passenger relations service teams to ensure consistent messaging and effective communication of key initiatives and operational changes, such as weather and disruption alerts, ensuring that communications procedures are followed by all team members.
7. Regularly track and analyze the effectiveness of communication strategies, gathering insights and feedback to refine and improve engagement.
8. Play a key role in managing crisis or urgent customer communication, ensuring clarity, transparency, and timely updates during challenging situations.
Ideal Candidate:
1. At least 5 years of experience in a corporate customer communications role.
2. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to simplify complex concepts for a broad audience.
3. A creative mindset with the ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions to engage and inform.
4. Proven ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders at all levels, ensuring alignment and driving results.
5. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to proofread and ensure accuracy across all communications.
6. Experience in developing monthly reports on emerging social media trends for management.
7. Demonstrated experience with all types of social media (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Vimeo, and YouTube advertising).
8. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, web content management systems, Adobe Suite, WordPress, and AguraPulse.
